Property Development

Crown Marina

Role - Project Manager and General Manager

Crown Marina is a 76 berth Marina facility in North Haven South Australia.

I was invited to run the project by a past client in 2008. At the time the marina was in concept form and my job would be to navigate the project through a complex planning approval and financing process.

After a a couple of years of court battles, coupled with the GFC we were able to commence construction in 2010. My role as Project Manager was to over see all aspects of the construction, marketing and administration of the development. This included the procurement of materials from China and Perth, as well as management of our specialist contractors.

Stage 1 of Crown Marina opened in 2011, with the first berth settlements and rentals to an impressive fleet including Riveria and Sunseeker Motor Yachts. The official opening in April featured a French Riviera themed party attended by over 200 guests.

Infinity Apartments

Role - Project Administrator and Building Manager.

Infinity Apartments is an 80 unit development situated in the heart of West Lakes, South Australia.

The apartment building included mix use retail on the ground floor, together with 70 apartments ranging from 2 bedrooms to luxury penthouses with private balcony pools.

The development was awarded the 2008  HIA Apartment Project of the Year, and at one point held the record for the most expensive apartment in Adelaide.

My role in the development was as Project Administrator in the last year of construction, before moving into the Building Manager role to facilitate the hand over of each apartment, and act as a liaison between the the body corporate and the developer.
